Although government is playing a key role in keeping communities clean, it is also our duty as citizens to keep our cities clean. The congregation of Downtown Christian Centre (DCC) in East London are on a mission to exercise this responsibility by organising a clean-up in one of the city’s most polluted surburbs, Southernwood.
The church is calling on all residents of East London to join hands with them this Thursday, 27 July, in establishing a culture of cleanliness in the city.
‘Our prosperity is dependent on the prosperity of our cities. On that note we invite all East London residents to join hands with us on Thursday and help us establish a culture of cleanliness in Southernwood,’ DCC wrote.
